ELECTRO-MECHANICAL  PRODUCT DESIGN

Procad specializes in electro-mechanical  design including the plastic or metal housings and the electrical connectors that are used in the these assemblies. These housings can be small and hand held devices or can be much larger control panels for large machines. What makes electro-mechanical designs unique and difficult is that even though the electrical aspects of the product are the goal, the housings protect and seal the electronics can become more critical to the overall product function. Products that seal or have high impact resistance characteristics may require highly engineered plastics that are difficult to process and mold or experience high impact loads. These plastics also may have electrical properties such as ability to insulate electrical conduction at a specified resistance or may actually be electrically conductive at a specified amount.
